Reflection for the Third Sunday of Lent – Year A

Join Fr Russell Pollitt, SJ, as he reflects on the 3rd Sunday of Lent. This week he offers a reflection on one of the most powerful texts in the Gospel: the Samaritan woman whom encounters Jesus. The woman is a seeker, like us, and the well is the symbol of all she seeks. Jesus offers her an alternative and so she puts down her bucket (the many things she has been running after that could not satisfy her) and accepts Jesus’ invitation.

You can find the texts in your bible. Read them and then join Fr Russell and listen to the reflection: Exodus 17:3-7; Psalm 95; Romans 5:1-2,5-8 & John 4:5-42.

For the Season of Lent we have also included a meditation after the reflection.
