Reflection for the Fifth Sunday of Easter – Year A

Join Fr Russell Pollitt, SJ, as he reflects on the readings for the Fifth Sunday of Easter.

This week we reflect on John’s Gospel – the farewell discourse of Jesus to his disciples. Its a fascinating text and well worth spending time with. Jesus unashamedly claims status and authority: he is God. His disciples are a bit confused… There are three pertinent questions put before us: Do we really believe in the divinity of Jesus and realise what that means for you? Do you do greater things than Jesus? – he says you should! And, are you really committed to THE way?

You can find the texts in your bible. Read them and then join Fr Russell and listen to the reflection: Acts 6:1-7; Psalm 33; 1 Peter 2:4-9 & John 14:1-12.
