Reflection for the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year A

Join Fr Russell Pollitt, SJ, as he reflects on the readings for the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time.

The First Reading and the Gospel use the image of the sowing seeds. The Prophet Isaiah tells us that the Word of God always yields “returns”. In the Gospel we hear the Parable of the Sower. Fr Russell offers 3 insights: i) How do we receive the Word? ii) How do we deal with failure? and, iii) Can I visualise myself as the sower?

You can find the texts in your bible. Read them and then join Fr Russell and listen to the reflection: Isaiah 55:10-11; Psalm 64; Romans 8:18-23; Matthew 13:1-23.
