LISTEN: Reflection for the Solemnity of All Saints

Every year the Church recalls the example, the witness, and prayer of holy women and men who have been identified by the Church as Saints. These saints are more than just role models. They are our ancestors and friends – that “cloud of witnesses” who lived their lives to the full despite their own joys and sorrows.

Fr Russell Pollitt SJ suggests that they teach us three things: i) they remind us of who we really are, our true identity; ii) they encourage us; iii) they help us understand that our lives are not for ourselves but for others.
