For the third week now we hear another parable from Jesus about judgement. The parable is especially told for the leadership of Israel but it has some sharp lessons for us too. It is also quite clearly connected to the last two we have heard – last Sunday and the Sunday before.
We can learn three lessons from this parable: i) to examine our complacency, ii) to sit before the generosity of God – vs our often ungenerous responses and iii) that living the Christian life is demanding – there is something demanded of us.
