The mount-top view of Transfiguration gets its meaning from the hill-top of Golgotha and vice-versa.  This weekend we are invited to acknowledge the glory in the crucifixion; the Transfiguration is the pre-cursor to the passion and death of Jesus.

Join Fr Russell as he reflects on the readings for the Transfiguration of Jesus. He suggests that there are 4 “takeaways” for us: i) reflecting on our own faith companions; ii) seeing the moutains (highs) and passions (lows) in our own lives; iii) confronting our fear and iv) trusting that God is present in ordinary and extraordinary.

You can find the texts that this reflection is based on in your bible, or simply just hover your mouse over the following references and the texts will also appear.

Daniel 7:9-10,13-14; Psalm 96; 2 Peter 1:16-19 & Matthew 17:1-9
